Dear viewers, partners, colleagues of the Aimautov theater, today on World Theater Day with a great pleasure we would like to give you a present - a new website of our theater - kmdt.kz! We have created it specially for you and your convenience. Here you can find comprehensive information about the repertoire of the theater, the plays you are interested in, the theater staff, the theater itself, find the necessary contacts, get acquainted with the rules of visiting the theater, the current repertoire of the theater and also buy tickets on-line. For our colleagues interested in touring on our stage and for the future participants of our festival “Irtysh-Bayan” (which will be held in September this year) we have included a special section within the site “Technical Characteristics” in which there is a detailed display of all the parameters of the main stage, the equipment list, the schemes of the auditorium, the stage floor and the lighting equipment.
The site operates in the Qazaq and Russian languages. Soon the English language will be added.
Our theater is standing in the way of full renovation, and we are setting ourselves the bravest and the most ambitious goals.
We have been working on development and implement of a long-term development strategy. In this regard a new mission of the theater has been formulated, which includes among other theses the following ones: “The Qazaq Theater named after Zh. Aimautov is a modern in spirit and content space in which traditions and modernity, the national identity and an up-to-date global context are seamlessly interwined. It is cramped for the theater to be in the bounds of a standard repertoire model. It represents a small world creating harmony inside and projecting it on its audience, the city and the country. The theater, having its conscious civic, social and artistic responsibility to the citizens, is aimed at self-development and the development of residents of the city by means of special programs, discussions, educational and creative projects and certainly plays in a topical scenic language”. The mission of the theater in this case does not mean that we are already entirely in line with it now. That is how we are to view ourselves in the long run but in the foresseable future and we are taking concrete steps to achieve the set in the strategy goals. And this site is one of these steps. The appearance of the site, its style and design are also reflected in the new mission of the theater. In the header of the site (at the top) and in its footer (at the bottom) you can see some fragments of the painting “On the Way” painted by a contemporary and progressive Qazaq artist Timur Akanaev. The creativity of this artist stands out due to the fact that he uses modern materials and modern techniques in creating his works in which he turns to the national Qazaq identity through the present day prism. Since the artistic language of this amazing artist is very closely related to ours, we have agreed on cooperation, and we sincerely thank Timur Akanaev for this once again.

For your convenience on the home page the menu item “Repertoire” has several sections: “For adults”, “For the whole family”, “For teenagers” and “For the youngest”. All the others are not available yet, and not because it is a flaw, but because we have made these sections for future perspectives.
That is, this summer we will release a grang large-scale performance for the whole family “It is Hard to Be Judith” which will be the first in the relevant section. Besides, in the future we are planning to hold a directorial-dramatic lab on the basis of modern plays written by Qazaq playwrights and intended for teenagers.The fruit of the lab will be included in the repertoire of the section “For teenagers”.
In the section “About the Theater” apart from the technical characteristics and the mission of the theater you can get acquainted with the history of the theater, its rules, the subsection “vacancies” and our dream about a cafe.
In the section “Theater People” you can find out the information about the theater company, the orchestra, the theater artistic management, the management and the services of the theater.
The section “Line Up” contains a current repertoire, tickets to which you can buy on-line.
